The Tree of Sapphires

Kabbalah, Genesis & Exodus

Kabbalah, Genesis & Exodus

A ten-part illustrated MP3 course on the esoteric teachings within the first two books of the Hebrew Testament.

The Torah is the foundation of Judaism — and therefore, Christianity and Islam too. Studied as a mystic, it reveals far more than the surface story of the creation of the world, the lives of the Matriarchs and Patriarchs, the Exodus from Egypt and the giving of the Law. Without knowledge of the social anthropology of the times, of the (minimum) of four levels of reading the text and of the esoteric jewels hidden in plain sight, it can read as unrealistic, savage and tragic. In truth it is a magical tapestry of learning which is as relevant to us today as it ever has been.

The esoteric teachings within the text are an extraordinary guide to living happily and in true service to the Holy One and all Creation. We can find strong evidence of the Divine Feminine in the origins of creation and marvel at the way the hidden teaching shows itself to the conscientious student.

What's included

Session One: In the Beginning.
Genesis: The Six Days of Creation, Yahweh and Elohim, Eden, Adam and Eve and the Serpent. Did you know that the concept of ‘original sin’ only appeared in the fourth century CE? Jesus would never have heard of it…

Session Two: Karma and Consciousness.
Genesis:
The two ancient texts that make up the Hebrew Testament – the Elohim writings and the Yahweh writings. How to read the Bible at four levels. Cain and Abel — what was really going on? Noah and the flood.

Session Three:
Genesis:
A mystical interpretation of the lives of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Ishmael and Isaac and their place on the Tree of Life. We also look at the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cult of sacrifice of the first-born.

Session Four: The Jealous Heart.
Genesis:
We see how the same stories happen again and again with tiny ripples in consciousness as humanity strives to grow and learn. How the feminine is woven throughout the text with Rebekah bringing the presence of God back into Abraham’s tent. The mystical interpretation of the lives of Jacob and Esau, Rachel and Leah.

Session Five: The Scapegoat
Genesis:
The Scapegoat is the one on whom the sins of the people are piled. They are then driven away to the desert. Today, we examine the stories of the betrayed: Dinah and Joseph. The symbology of the offer to merge tribes and step out of the ego level — and how difficult that is for us to do, even today. The perfect ego and the slow progression of spiritual learning.

Session Six: The Hero’s Journey
Exodus:
The Internal Journey to the Promised Land. Moses’ and the Israelites’ exodus is the story of every one of us — the trials and tests of becoming a true individual — stepping out of the tribe and seeking the soul. The ‘need’ for suffering and humility and the staff of sapphires/Tree of Life.

Session Seven: The Ten Plagues
Exodus:
The inner and outer plagues that beleaguer us on the spiritual journey. The symbolic meaning of the ten curses in our own minds, bodies and spirits and the dangers and enchantments of magic.

Session Eight: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire.
Exodus:
In this session we cross the Red Sea and face our forty years in the wilderness as we step out on our greater journey. Everyone wants this to be shorter! But we cannot get to the Promised Land until we have dissolved all the resistance within. Manna from heaven and the first external — and internal — ascent at Sinai.

Session Nine: Rebellion and Sacrifice
Exodus:
The story of the golden calf; the consequences of breaking a covenant, the Sapphire commandments and the beginning of the Great Relationship.

Session Ten: Building the Temple
Exodus:
The temple within and the temple without. How to maintain your inner and outer temple (without humility and responsibility it will become corrupt). Includes the inner temple meditation.
